Two recent worlds, one shared exploration of the living.
Aquatic Escape 2023–2025
Corine Lescop continues her exploration of corals and reefs, combining intense colours, relief and transparency to evoke imagined underwater worlds.
Shaped by her sensitivity to ecological concerns, these paintings move between wonder, abundance and the fragility of the oceans.
Paradise on Earth 2019–2021
This series draws largely on a journey to South Africa, where Corine was struck by the luxuriant gardens, landscapes and nature reserves.
Waterfalls, ferns, flowers and carpets of vegetation become inner paradises: places of memory and light that reach beyond a strictly realistic depiction of the landscape.
